After some romance movies released on the first quarter of this year, I grew tired watching Indonesian romance movies. I think Love summed them all up. Then i stumbled upon a news about Kekasih, a romance movie from Grandiz Media Production. They advertise this movie to be different from other romance movies for it tells about love that is simple. So i thought i’ll give another try watching another romance movie .

Beautifully executed movie with heavyweight casts and great soundtracks. LOVE has everything you want from a romance movie. Good looking people, heart wrenching story, terminal and life degrading illnesses, unrequited love, nice cinematography and did i mention good soundtracks?

This new movie from Indonesia Film Investasi (IFI), directed by Upi, promised to deliver a brutally romantic love story. But i found this movie brutally depressing, brutally cathartic, abundant with profanity and a little beyond comprehension.
