Kekasih:Excruciatingly dumb
After some romance movies released on the first quarter of this year, I grew tired watching Indonesian romance movies. I think Love summed them all up. Then i stumbled upon a news about Kekasih, a romance movie from Grandiz Media Production. They advertise this movie to be different from other romance movies for it tells about love that is simple. So i thought i’ll give another try watching another romance movie .
It’s been a month since the last time i write It’s not because i didn’t go watch movies. It’s because the movies i watched last month are dumb. Lari Dari Blora, 10000BC and Drop Out. Lari Dari Blora was awful, 10000BC was technically ok, but has shitty story and Drop Out was.. well i don’t know, i watched Drop Out to see Titi Kamal, and Titi Kamal is awful in Drop Out. She is sexy.. but her performance is shitty
Junior High Schoolers Are So Cute
Kekasih, like most indonesian movies, is opened with promising scenes. Beautiful places around Jogja, the soundtracks and cute junior high schoolers playing and riding bike made me smile, as smile that quickly faded away
Jiwo (Angga Putra) and Maria (Vonny Kristianda) are childhood lovers united by pigeons. Yup! those blippin’, seeds-eating, shits-dropping, possibly crack-smokin’ spoiled birds!. Like all childhood love stories, they started as friends and become best friends and fall love with each other and end up sucking bloody finger in Jiwo’s bedroom. Childhood love can’t get any more romantic than that!
Unfortunately, for undisclosed reason, Maria have to leave Jogja. Jiwo then left clueless and heart broken.
Eight Years Later.. They Have Sex
Yeah.. kids these days, they think love equals sex. So maybe it’s a casual thing to meet a long lost childhood lover and have sex.
What the hell is wrong with the director, screenplay writer and everybody producing this movie? When i meet someone i haven’t seen for a long time, at the very least i will ask how she is, is her life good? has she had a boyfriend? what does she do now? After all those stuffs then i can go bananas all i want.
Having sex? without a proper conversation? that’s just dumb! Nothing romantic about that.
The dumber thing is, after they finish having sex. Jiwo says that he don’t think they are meant for each other. UNBELIEVABLE!! WAHT A FCUKING JERK!!!!. Is that what you do to the woman you love? Screw her first and say you both aren’t meant for each other? If i were Maria, i would kick Jiwo in the nuts !! Hell.. i would kill him thrice!!
Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb
After that scene, everything goes downhill, and keep getting dumber and dumber by the minute. I was hoping, there would be some twist in the story to make all those dumbnesses make sense, like the beautifully crafted movie, Claudia Jasmine. Well.. nothing made sense until the closing credits. This movie is as dumb as humanly possible.
GIVE MY 2 HOURS BACK!!

good movie for who has many refence watching movie n dumb movie for who doesn't have refence watching good movie UNBELIEVABLE!!! WAHT A FUCUKING JERK!!!! movie is differen with novel not every scene must explain with detail.. (THATS WHY GOD CREATE US BRAIN) i think kekasih is simple film but smart… but actualy pro and kontra is come together every body got their own style!! DIFFERENT MIND IS ALSO DIFFERENT HOW TO THING!!!
kalo kita nggak muna..ni film indonesia banget (nggak sedikit loh remaja indonesia yang free sex)…g suka ni film…jujur..nggak banyak film kita yang digarap dengan cerdas kayak film ini…temanya klasik..tapi bukanya permasalahn cinta klasik??? nggak jauh2 dari itu ke itu…tapi kayaknya bukan itu yang di bahas di film ini…kalo yang pintar pasti nangkep apa inti cerita dari film ini tapi buat yang lemot pasti susahlah nangkep ceritanya… filmnya banyak maen bahasa gambar..jadi buat yang nonton sambil pacaran ya pasti nggak konsen perhatikan detail gambarnya…padahalkan informasinya ada di setiap gambarnya…untungnya g nonton bareng gank g yang alhamdulillah punya referensi banyak soal film bermutu…jadi komentar kita semua sama…film yang bagus…
